Empowering the Student Voice in the IEP Meeting

This training provides educators practical tools and techniques in how to educate the student about the IEP meeting process, how to prepare for their meeting, as well as, how to increase their participation during the meeting.

The workshop “Empowering the Student Voice in the IEP Meeting” is designed to empower the student’s voice during the IEP meeting through self-advocacy skills and productive communication techniques. Participants will be prepared to implement skills with their students the very next day.

There are NO prerequisites required to take this training!

 

Experience

How long does this workshop last?

This is a one-day workshop with a maximum of thirty participants. During the workshop, participants will work on activities that help them foster student self-advocacy and increase student participation in the IEP process.
